| Slovenia is roughly the size and population of Wales. It joined the EU in 2004.
The Euro is accepted everywhere, and it will be adopted as their formal
currency in January 2007. Although Slovenia has its own language, English
is widely spoken, and the people are so friendly, that a visitor will
have no communication problems. The country has a vast amount to offer,
from its alpine villages to its Mediterranean coastline. Places to visit
include the capital, Ljubljana, the beautiful Lake Bled & Lake Bohinj
and the spectacular Postojna caves.
